The Oxnard City Council has announced plans for a special City Council meeting today, with closed sessions to evaluate the performance of the City Manager, and City Attorney.
It’s been a difficult time for the city.
In August of last year, Ventura County District Attorney’s Office investigators served the first in a series of search warrants on the city, carting away cartons of documents from city offices.
There have been numerous followup searches, with both the FBI, and a grand jury involved.
No charges have been filed, and prosecutors haven’t said what they are looking into…but the investigation has cast a pall over Oxnard’s government.
The special meeting is at 4:30 p.m. today, at Oxnard City Hall.
