A Simi Valley school was temporarily locked down, as police searched for a man wanted on four felony warrants.
It happened at around 9 a.m. yesterday (9/27) near Madrone and Angela Streets, in Simi Valley. Police say they received information that Charles Shelton was in the neighborhood, and that he might flee when they arrived.
Officers say as they reached the scene, he was running through the yards of homes in the area, and tried to hide under a trailer when he was cornered by police. As a precaution, Vista Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown. The officers say they had to use a Taser to subdue, and arrest the 26 year old man, who was taken into custody for the warrants, as well as for his confrontation with police, and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
