President Obama has named two U.C. Santa Barbara faculty members as winners of Presidential Early Career Awards For Scientists and Engineers.
Assistant Physics Professor Benjamin Mazin, and Assistant Mechanical Engineering Professor Sumita Pennathur are being recognized for their accomplishments at early stages of their careers.
The two are among the just over 90 scientists, and engineers who will be honored in an October 14th ceremony in Washington, D.C.
