A gas line break led to the precautionary lockdown of a Ventura County elementary school, and the evacuation of some homes.
A construction crew accidentally cut into a pipeline on the 1100 block of Saticoy Street in Piru during the lunch hour today (9/22). Some homes were evacuated, and students were kept inside at nearby Webster Elementary School. The damage was repaired in less than an hour.
