A body found in the surf near U.C. Santa Barbara has been positively identified.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroners Bureau says the body is that of 22-year-old Mark Andrew Romasanta. The Santa Barbara man was reported missing by his family Sunday night (8/28). He was last seen alive in Isla Vista at around 2:30 Sunday morning.
Two people walking on the beach in the Campus Point area discovered the body around sunset Monday night (8/29).
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is still pending.
