There’s some discouraging unemployment news for Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties, as well as for the state, with increases in the percentages of people out of work.
In Ventura County, the jobless rate went from 10.3% in June, to 10.7% in July. In Santa Barbara County, unemployment rose from 8.9% in June, to 9.1% July.
State figures also showed a month to month increase, with California’s unemployment percentage going from 11.8% in June, to 12% in July. That’s the second highest jobless rate in the nation.
