A tool company’s plans to close four distribution facilities in Oxnard, and shift operations to one giant facility in the Moreno Valley is going to impact more than 300 jobs.
Harbor Freight Tools is going to consolidate its operations at a nearly 800,000 square foot facility. Company officials say employees who are willing to move will be offered jobs at the new facility, and those who don’t will be offered job search assistance. The shift will take place over the next two years.
The compay says the moved was prompted by the ability to find a large space to consolidate operation. Officials say they will continue to operate for other facilities in Ventura County, and may even add jobs at some of them.
