Funeral services have been set for this Saturday in Westlake Village for a woman who grew up in Ventura County, who died when she was hit by lighting while vacationing in Costa Rica.
Jennifer King died August 11th, when she and some friends were riding some off road vehicles, and were caught in a severe thunderstorm near Nosara, a popular resort area. The group had gotten off the ATV’s looking for shelter, and were trying to get back to them when a bolt knocked them to the ground.
King stopped breathing, and efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
She was a 1992 graduate of Westlake High School.
