A Ventura County man has been arrested on charges he stole thousands of dollars of metal from an oil company facility in Santa Paula.
Workers at a Vintage Oil Field facility on the 17-hundred block of South Mountain Road noticed a large amount of metal missing from the site Thursday.
Investigators say they found evidence linking Jeffrey Daniel of Santa Paula to the theft, and that some of the stolen items were found in his truck. The 46-year-old man was arrested for grand theft.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department officials say the arrest occured because of their program called “Farm Watch”, which trains ag and industrial workers to be on the alert for suspicious activity.
