Ventura County Going To Offer Sample Ballots Online

Posted on Monday, July 11, 2011 5:46pm

Ventura County elections officials say they will take advantage of a new state law which allows them to offer voters sample ballot books online, saving on paper, printing, mailing, and other labor costs.

Ventura County Clerk Recorder/Registrar Of Voters Mark Lunn says voters can voluntarily “opt-out” of receiving paper ballots by mail.

The program is voluntary, and if a voter decides they don’t like getting the sample ballot book online, they can notify the elections office, and get the paper booklets again.

The sample ballot books will be available online at least 30 days before each election.
