A fight in an exercise yard area at the main Santa Barbara County Jail in Goleta sent some inmates to the hospital with injuries, and resulted in the jail being placed on lockdown. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Drew Sugars says the fight was confined, and didn’t turn into a widespread disturbance. Three inmates were reported injured, including two who were taken to a hospital for treatment in the wake of the 3:45 p.m. incident.
