* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...

 

NORTHWESTERN LOS ANGELES COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...

 

NORTHEAST VENTURA COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...

 

* UNTIL 500 PM PDT

 

* AT 348 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A

 

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE HAIL...AND

 

DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR

 

NEENACH ON HIGHWAY 138. IT WAS MOVING SOUTH SOUTHWEST AT 25 MPH...

 

AND WILL AFFECT PYRAMID LAKE AND CASTAIC LAKE AND THE INTERSTATE

 

5 CORRIDOR THROUGH 500 PM PDT.

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

 

NORTHERN VENTURA COUNTY MOUNTAINS IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...

 

* UNTIL 615 PM PDT

 

* AT 312 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED

 

FLASH FLOODING FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WARNED AREA. THIS STORM

 

CELL WAS NEARLY STATIONARY. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HOURLY RAINFALL

 

RATES OF AROUND TWO INCHES.

 

* THE STORM PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING WILL OTHERWISE REMAIN OVER

 

MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF THE INDICATED COUNTY.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL

 

CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
