Caltrans has announced it’s made an emergency closure of a section of Highway 33 in Ventura County, to fix some sections heavily damaged by winter and spring storms.
One lane of the highway five miles north of Lockwood Valley will be shut down all week. Traffic will be able to get through, but there could be long delays, with traffic controls only allowing vehicles to move in one direction at a time. The $3.5 million dollar project includes repairs to the roadway, and its slopes.
