The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office says it’s arrested an Oxnard police officer on a workers compensation fraud charge. Prosecutors say that Edward Idukas claimed he injured his back in December of 2009 while at his worker locker, and was placed on temporary disabled status. They say he received disability pay for several months. But, investigators with the D.A’s office say they discovered that while Idukas was receiving the disability payments, he was playing in an adult baseball league. The 26 year old man is facing a five count felony complaint.
