What started as an investigation of drug sales in Oxnard six months ago led to the breakup of a drug operation with connections from Santa Barbara, to San Bernardino counties. Officials with the Santa Barbara Regional Narcotic Enforcement Team say undercover work revealed a network which bought several pounds a week of cocaine, and methamphetamine in Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties, for sale in Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. On Thursday morning, search warrants were served at 21 Southern California locations, with 12 pounds of methamphetamine being seized, as well as other drugs, $200,000 in cash, and a number of weapons. In addition to the 14 arrests, eight children were removed by Child Protective Services. Two suspects are still being sought.
