Legislation expected to go to the State Assembly floor this week could close what supporters are calling a loophole in how rental car companies deal with vehicle safety recall notices. KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the bill was sparked in part by a Ventura County woman whose daughters died in a rental car which hadn’t been repaired, even though a recall notice had been issued.
